What did you get? Any other reviews from Tavern?

I actually quite liked the Tavern. I travel to the area often for work. I like the prices at the Tavern as well as the variety. The consistency is pretty good (not great). I know that waits have been an issue, I always sit at the bar and have no issues with waiting. I am usually in an out within 30 minutes. Food comes pretty quickly. They have a full bar with a nice selection of beer on tap. They have a huge parking lot in the back too. Overall, I like it.

An alternate option here is Star of David Grill. It's a typical Israeli style restaurant. The best part of Start of David is its consistency. The food is always excellent. From falafel to burgers, to Chinese food, its phenomenal. I have been there at least a dozen times and had a great experience each time.

Here are some pics of Tavern:

Lamb Chops

Beer Selection

Moist pulled brisket sandwich

Onion rings

May be in PHL briefly. Are there any restaurants open early? I was thinking around 6-7 am. Anything to do later at night?

The Dairy first opens at 7:30 but if you're just looking for kosher food - there's an Acme on Montgomery Ave that has a full kosher bakery and a nice size kosher section. Opens at 6.

All items baked at Acme are parve and Pas Yisrael. There are bakery items which aren't baked there which are dairy - must check label to see if CY.

any ideas for things to do with kids in the Philadelphia area/ Ages 4-8? Was thinking of the mint and Zoo. Anyone have any other recommendations. Will be there for a few days.

Also, is"The Dairy" open? their website says they are closed for renovations.

Sunset at the top of One Liberty Observation Deck is really nice...

https://phillyfromthetop.com/

Much cheaper than the Rockefeller and Empire State buildings in NY

ETA: Check out the wiki for some more ideas. As well, I added this to the Wiki.
