Update: Offers that were added today, such as $5 off $25 at Staples, do appear to have been killed, so this may indeed be dead for new offers going forward

Staples offer still shows on my accts. Disappeared from DW's. Both saved using new UI. 🤷‍♂️
Still showing when I check on both new and old UIs

Why would Amex allow some offers but not others ?

If they are going down this route, they should allow it once per primary card, and not once per SSN, since you pay for each account, and you should receive the credit no matter which AU was used.

If the company is subsidizing it they are probably looking at it as a customer acquisition cost.
Per ssn means to most people... More customers.

I was sure that was going to be their next move with SBS. Quite a few of my Amex cards that i am now on the fence about will likely be closed due to the SSN issue. Had they gone the other route I would definitely keep open.
