Biz seat advice - KLM vs. AF vs. Delta One
« on: August 01, 2018, 12:22:20 PM »
I need to book a flight today and I have a few choices coming back to NY in business class (flight out is fixed due to being after Yom Tov). Any recommendations on quality of seat, service or KSML or alternatively one to avoid? I don't know much about these things and appreciate any thoughts.

My options are:
1) Air France @ CDG - looks to be A380-800
2) KLM @ AMS - 747-400 mixed configuration
3) Delta One - 767-300

I've been googling around and so many different reviews but hard to find right product

Haven't been on AF or KL, but while service is great on DL, and if it were different equipment I'd be all for the DeltaOne hard product, I found the BIZ seats on the 767 to be too narrow when lying flat.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I have no experience or comment regarding the AF380 seat. However on the same trip that I flew DL 767 (JFK-SVO) lie flat, I continued to TLV on SU 777 which was angle flat, and found it more spacious than the DL 767 lie flat seat. IIRC had better rest there (also helped to have almost the entire business cabin to ourselves for the SVO-TLV leg).

Is KLM all-aisle access on the 744? I think Delta may be the best of these.

Going off topic, DL doesn't fly anymore JFK-SVO.
We are left SU but can't ever find awarded availability jfk-svo-tlv. Any trick to find it?

After some more research...I dont think so. According to my research today, there are like 3 random seats in business class that are singles, but generally not direct aisle access on the KLM flight.

I looked many times, most partners don't seem to have access to SU transatlantic routes. Maybe DL has access.

KLM 744 is 2-2 in J.

Why not use seatguru and look at the layout/pitch/width?
