Wood
Pros: Cheap
Easy to change shape or size as your needs for space change
DIY - most people would be able to build it from scratch or make modifications (e.g. add windows)
Can be converted to chazzon ish (replace metal screws with peg screws)
Can integrate a schlock to the structure
Cons: Heavy, Can warp over time. (note: if you use enough fasteners and are also careful to assemble it balanced this can be minimized)
         Needs lots of storage space

Fiberglass
Pros: Easy Setup (on level ground)
Length/width is reconfigurable (you just need to buy a few 2x4 beams if you change layout)
Cons: Expensive
Greenhouse effect on hot days (need to budget for several open/shut windows)
Connection threads can become bent even with proper storage (need to budget for the odd panel replacement here and there)
         Can Crack or Break

Canvas
Pros: Setup in minutes
Cons: Not accepted by all poskim
         Poor protection from cold Weather
         Wind Can be bothersome.

I've seen it used butask a lor.

Before i ask a LOR;
How do you get it to stay up? How far away do the support beams have to be?
Where can you get it in USA?
And what happens to it when it rains?

we used it in a succah with a built in roof so it never got wet. And the sechach was inside, between the walls.

You hold it up the same as any other sechach.. Its not heavy and is very 'wooly' so won't fall the cracks but it can blow away if not secured. I guess some 2*4 on top will hold it.

OK so its this time of the year once again......
I did a bit of research on the panel sukkahs, leiters seems more flimsy while sukkah depot is much sturdier, plus it doesn't need all these brackets.
But there's also a panel sukkah from sukkah center, though not as popular, it seemed pretty decent. Does anyone have any info about it? How does it compare to sukkah depot?

What price did sukkah depot quote you for the panel sukkah? They quoted me 2300$ for a 10x16 with everything included. Does this seem like a good deal ?

I have Sukkah Depot one and other family members have Leiter's. There is no question that quality and ease of putting together the Sukkah Depot is far superior.

However, the Leiter one is "lighter". If shlepping and storing is a concern, then the lighter weight may be for you.

Also, I may be mistaken, but I believe the standard Sukkah Depot height is taller than Leiter's.

With 2 people, my sukkah depot boards are up in about 10-15 minutes.

Same question but with tarp walls. In the past I've used all sorts of different types of tape to varying - but generally disappointing - results. I was considering using safety pins, or something like that, but it would have the same de-waterproofing issue. I feel like I'm missing an obvious, easy solution.

Ooh, I like it! Doesn't work for me though because the other side is a deck railing 10-15 feet off the ground.

It's too late now, but we printed or picture on waterproof canvas, and it's lasted 20 years of Sukkos in NYC without fading or warping etc.

We just use pushpins
