Best Sukkah?

The one I was referring to then lasted me 13 years until I moved. I had made a frame of 2x4s which I used bolts to attach to the deck railing and then screwed 1/4 in luan panels. I never had an issue of them getting moldy or warping even though they were not waterproofed. One or two of the 2x4s from the frame warped to become unusabe and were easily replaced.

In my new house I hired someone to extend my deck and at the same time had him make a frame with panels for the sukkah. the panels each have a frame and pop into the frame. They are held in by turn buttons. Took my kids half an hour to put it up.

I bought my house with a deck that the previous owner had sort of tacked on a schach frame permanently. It's not perfect, but it made it really easy and cheap with some tarps, bungee and ball cords, and mats. But If I ever have to redo the deck, I've been dying to do what you did and design with the sukkah in mind from the get go.

Browsing through their site they seem to be more expensive then some other places I've seen.

It definitely came out cheaper than Leiters (they are across from each other.....)

Not in the slightest. The only thing different all year are the posts and the frame for the scach. DW hangs some flowers from the frame
The ones which feel enclosed are the ones which are filled on the bottom instead of being just a regular deck railing.

Don't know much about most of those categories, but I have dealt with both types and can comment on some of the differences.

They both have tool-less installation (ie the panels click into each other). They both offer pretty good flexibility in terms of size and type (doors, windows, with art on it, etc/) of panel.

SD is a very sturdy metal frame with pressed wood boards in between the metal (you can see the frame from both sides). This creates a very good rigidity, especially when coupled with the beams you're supposed to put in brackets along the top of the walls. Leiters is also a metal frame, though not quite as strong in my experience. The panel is fiberglass (I believe even the wood colors are fiberglass as well), and it's bolted flat onto one side of the frame (ie you can only see the frame from one side). That combination gives them way more flex than SD, but also makes them lighter.

SD only makes one color - light wood on one side and dark wood on the other (I think all the pieces are fully reversible).The height is 7.5' I believe. Leiters has more options: 7' or 8' heights, different wood shades and plain colors, etc.

If you are talking about the canvas sukkahs they are all practically identical with leishev Basukkah being the best priced. Supposedly they come from the same factories in China which is why the pieces from different companies are interchangeable.

canvas ones are most definitely not the same. Some come with one piece of fabric for the entire sukkah which is not expandable. Others have a separate piece of fabric for each section, making it expandable.

A few of the places I checked sell 3 different kinds of canvas. Probably all places are selling the same 3 kinds.

that doesn't depend on the place you buy it from, they all have both types.
Standard sizes are one piece, unless they are very large, custom sizes will be separate pieces.
if you want a standard size with the option to expand, or with only 3 walls, you can request that they give you separate pieces, however they will probably price it out as a custom.

These seem to be a very thin plastic, not even material. Not very durable at all.

Poking holes for decarations didn't leave any holes? Or cause them to get bigger ?
