Wood
Pros: Cheap
Easy to change shape or size as your needs for space change
DIY - most people would be able to build it from scratch or make modifications (e.g. add windows)
Can be converted to chazzon ish (replace metal screws with peg screws)
Can integrate a schlock to the structure
Cons: Heavy, Can warp over time. (note: if you use enough fasteners and are also careful to assemble it balanced this can be minimized)
         Needs lots of storage space

Fiberglass
Pros: Easy Setup (on level ground)
Length/width is reconfigurable (you just need to buy a few 2x4 beams if you change layout)
Cons: Expensive
Greenhouse effect on hot days (need to budget for several open/shut windows)
Connection threads can become bent even with proper storage (need to budget for the odd panel replacement here and there)
         Can Crack or Break

Canvas
Pros: Setup in minutes
Cons: Not accepted by all poskim
         Poor protection from cold Weather
         Wind Can be bothersome.

We use fun tak on our PVC panels. We have an added complication that without thinking, I chose to use textured PVC paneling (actually the exact same paneling we use for pesach counters) so the funtak is a  great option.

not sure. I just setup mine. Pretty cheap. But looks like it will work out perfectly.

This is direct from a factory in China who has stock in the USA.

Remember the $1000 canvas one you see ppl buying was purchased for less then $320 in china.

Oooh, PVC. That's what I originally wanted to do but couldn't find the sheet goods for a reasonable price. What do you use and how much was it?

Was only $30 per board last year.
The PVC trim we used to frame it was the killer. It's quite expensive.
The bottom section of the wall is permanent white vinyl fencing. We used that as opposed to regular plastic deck railing because of sukkos.

Wow, that's really thin. What do you mean by framing? Is it on the back side? And are those barrel bolts holding the panels in? How wide are your panels generally?

outside

The deck is 26ftx15ft
Each panel is about 6ftx4ft
Side panels are larger. 7.5ftx4ft. (too wide)
If I did it over, I definitely wouldn't do white....it's a bit disconcerting....think about a white room

Does anyone know the name of the wood that is used on most of the wood panels, I am referring to the one that has a finished look, something like a paper coted finished with grooves every few inches on the length on the panel?

Those are called paneling and they eventually peel and shed the layers. Nowadays, they usually use Luan, it's muck more durable.

lauan is just a type of plywood. It's not going to have a finish.
Any type of plywood is going to be more durable than MDF

Paneling is nice and you can put a polyurethane so will will hold longer, any idea where I can buy this in the lakewood area? Besides home depot/lawes?
