Wood
Pros: Cheap
Easy to change shape or size as your needs for space change
DIY - most people would be able to build it from scratch or make modifications (e.g. add windows)
Can be converted to chazzon ish (replace metal screws with peg screws)
Can integrate a schlock to the structure
Cons: Heavy, Can warp over time. (note: if you use enough fasteners and are also careful to assemble it balanced this can be minimized)
         Needs lots of storage space

Fiberglass
Pros: Easy Setup (on level ground)
Length/width is reconfigurable (you just need to buy a few 2x4 beams if you change layout)
Cons: Expensive
Greenhouse effect on hot days (need to budget for several open/shut windows)
Connection threads can become bent even with proper storage (need to budget for the odd panel replacement here and there)
         Can Crack or Break

Canvas
Pros: Setup in minutes
Cons: Not accepted by all poskim
         Poor protection from cold Weather
         Wind Can be bothersome.

interesting have to see where there’s pallets (feel like there’s tons in boro park but not near me)
the branches are from a tremendous tree and the branches are way up in the air..:/right but that includes getting plywood which isn’t a big deal if thats what I need to do.
I was thinking about linoleum or something I can roll out but is firm enough to blunt the bumpy grass..
bingo is selling

Need ideas. We need to build a big-ish sukkah and the only big open space away from trees is our front lawn. What are some ideas to put on/over the grass to level it?
Obviously one idea is literally to build a platform with 2X4’s and plywood but before I start building out a whole gantze stage over the lawn, are there any other creative ideas? I don’t want just a mat where the ground isn’t flat

Area is around 10X30 ft surrounded by chain link fence on 3 sides and house 4th side
What did you end up doing?

Haven't figured it out since last year... What is the best travel sukah. The most sturdy "mehudar" one the market?

Right. I'm looking for suggestions for a company that has that.

I have this one although I see it's out of stock. Very easy to set up and comes in a carrying bag. Didn't come with straps.

@justaregularguy
I’m sorry for not replying , thank you for @mentioning me

We ended up buying around 12 feet of wood design  vinyl so it looked pretty nice. However it didn’t really really make it bump free but you could slide your chair etc, and it got a few holes unfortunately. Cost ~100$ at Lowe’s 🤷‍♂️
Just pulled it up tonight and thankfully the grass isn’t totally dead so that’s a win :D

any experience washing/drying canvas sukkahs?
label officially allows washing but not machine drying. but in a Brooklyn apartment without a (yard or) spare 40' space for it to sit and dry for a few days, can I afford to risk throwing it in the dryer on low heat?
