DD coming home from seminary in 3 weeks.

Dismissal time changed on the last day to an earlier time.

I currently have her booked on RJ the next morning with a short connection in AMM. (40k AA)

With the earlier dismissal I can book her on MS (Y and J are currently available) with a 7:50pm departure (she says she can make it to the airport by 5:30 pm), a 6-hour layover in CAI, and arrival at JFK 9:00 am.

RJ gives 2pc of luggage in Y. From what I can tell it seems like MS only gives 1pc in Y, and charges about $200 for extra pc. I could put her in J where she would get 2pcs (and lounge access during layover), but not very comfortable spoiling her at this age.
RJ Y seems like a no-brainer?

But requires another night in Israel (and early arrival at airport the next morning) rather than just heading from seminary directly to the airport.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Some people can't leave soon enough.

What benefit would anyone have from an extra 14 hours overnight in Israel (after being there for several months)?

How about getting home 7 hours earlier?

DD called me last week to say that she was told the classes on the last day of seminary are optional (which means she'll gladly skip them), so was able to leave a day earlier.

Booked VS Premium Economy 33,500 (26k MR + $206). That also solves the 2pcs of luggage issue.

What's VS cancellation/refund policy (in case something better pops up)?

BTW had a problem booking online. Other than slight wait to get a rep, phone booking was a pleasure.

$50 refund fee. Needs to be more then 24 hours before travel. If within that time, first change to later date (I think also $50) then pay refund fee.

Which means that the alternative needs to be significantly better, as I wouldn't be looking out if not for the $206 in YQ and taxes.

NYC to PAR
Booking through Chase with CSR.

All are around the same price.
AA, Delta, United, Jet Blue, Air France.

Some seats in economy, some in business.
Which do I choose?

Are you open to transferring points to airlines? Is a cheap mileage ticket a plus?
Air France is often bookable for 15k miles via FlyingBlue in Economy.

All I can say is that Air France business is nothing to write home about, especially if flying duo.

So the others are similar enough that I can use other criteria to choose?

Haven't flown others on this route. So I can't comment.

Probably very minor difference, but would love to hear any factors I missed. Traveling with DW and 4 kids, checking in 2 bags, ending up in Lakewood.
Option 1: JAX-JFK 7 AM on DL. 4.6K skypesos +$5.60. Free checked bags with DL CC.
Option 2: JAX-LGA 8:10 AM (more convenient departure time) on B6. 4K Chase via travel portal.
I’m leaning toward DL, but not sure why.
