its an apartment and yes they just redid the roof.. they also repaired my ceiling and I wasnt here. I suspect they let mice escape

Just go to your nearest pet store and get a snake. Leave it there for a few days and your problem will be solved.

I saw a mouse in my room and havent caught him. Would you sleep in the room ? stayed in marriott last night burned anniversary cert

Lots of snap traps.   Where mice were seen.  along walls and at edge of doorways where they get into the room. 
Unless more are coming into your apartment from outside, you'll catch them all and you'll be free.


Cheaper than a hotel more effective.

Dude there was mouse droppings on my bed. Washed my sheet, pillow case, pillow and mattress cover and blanket in laundry mat, water wasnt hot. had my mother wash in hot water.  I would try traps but whats to stop the bugger from defiling my bed? I'm also honestly scared of rat guy though i'm confident he wont venture to my room.

construction will shake them out of their holes. not much you can do. if they don't disappear after the construction, then i'd start worrying

Set the traps and stay at your mother a few days.

I had the same problem a few month ago. Spent a couple hundred bucks on traps, ultrasonic mouse repellers and exterminators and nothing worked.
I am not really a heeby jeeby kind of person but someone told me to put up a picture of the "mouser" Rebbe. I was desperate to try anything so I hung up his picture on my fridge and I have not seen a mouse or dropping since then!

That's the first time I've heard him referred to that way. No offense, I personally don't think its very nice to call him that.

The few hundred dollars was more on the exterminators.
