Tried logging in to my Club Carlson account tonight, kept getting the wrong password ---. when I tried to reset online , I received an email without a link to reset, stating to join CC go to our website and open an account, got suspicious, called and was told that my email is different than what I provided the rep, asked him what email he has , he would not tell me, asked for a manager, and after verifying my info, gave me an email that was not mine, the name, address and phone number were all mine. I knew immediately that someone hacked my account, then I asked him how many points do you show in my account, said 43000 pts. I have over a million points, all gone except for 43000. Now this is what I found out, on 8-13 my email was changed without me getting any notification, same day the hacker used my points, exactly 1100000 pts to purchase Amazon gift and other gift cards cards from Amazon and another site he named.
They opened a case , and will contact me tomorrow, I am not worried about getting my points back, but the hacker got my name, address, phone numbers , not sure if Club Carlson has D.O.B stored, can't log in to my account to find out.
After getting my points back, what do you think I should ask for as a compensation, for what happened and the 2 hours I spent on a chat and phone with them. Do I need to contact the credit bureaus since the hacker has my personal info?
