I read Dan's post on expanded award ticket availability:

https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/50k-miles-for-signing-up-for-a-united-explorer-card-on-expanded-awards-excursionist-perks-and-why-the-united-card-is-my-favorite-airline-mileage-card/

Just got this card. What do I need to do in order to link up my mileagePlus account and have that log in recognize that I'm an Explorer Card holder and automatically show me expanded award ticket availability?

Should auto link in the near future.

You know it has if you see in your profile  that your mileage won't expire.

Ah thanks for the tip. Still show expiration date. I wonder how long it takes to link up?

You need to go to classic view (prob deserves its own thread) and hover over the question mark next to your expiration date.

Card is automatically linked.

In the new United.com https://www.united.com/en/us/  the hovering does NOT show anything about being a member/not expiring. In some places.
In classic View, it shows.  https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/  .

Did you give your MileagePlus number when you applied for the card?

Interssting. I just checked classic view and still shows my miles will expire in 18 months. So must mean my credit card hasnt linked yet. Anyone know how long it takes?

Hover over mileage expiration here:
https://www.united.com/web/en-US/apps/account/account.aspx?POS=US

And see if it says "Thank you for being a Chase MileagePlus cardmember."
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Bumping this thread. Is there consensus on how long it takes between approval and syncing with united (to show expanded availability)?
