I'm planning on renting an RV for over a weekend, from cruiseamerica.com.
I'm paying about $130 a night.
I see many promo codes for they're site, however there's no place to put them in on their website. I called and they're claiming these codes are spam...

Any tips in general regarding the actual rental? The RV, i.e. driving, setup etc? Tips for Shabbos? I'm not sure if I'll have a 220v hook up…

Before you are given the keys to the RV, you will most likely have to watch a video that will answer most of your questions.  Regarding Shabbos, there are complications:  I've read something that says that you have to cover the wheels, etc.  Maybe you can spend Shabbos at a hotel?  When you say you won't have 220v hookup, do you mean you may not have an electrical hookup at all?  All the more reason to stay in a hotel.  BUT, even without electrical hookup, most RVs have SOME power.  I wouldn't keep a generator on all Shabbos to cook cholent in a crockpot, but a couple lights in the living area/restroom running off the house battery would probably be OK.  Will you be someplace where you'll need AC?

Work of warning: the fuse may pop if you keep the generator running on Shabbos with AC, food etc.

Thanks for the link, very helpful.

To clarify, ill be staying on someone's property and eating with them on Shabbos.  The RV is mainly for sleeping, (depending how complicated the cleaning the holding tank etc is I may not use the facilities at all.) The persons house may or may not have a 220 outlet that I can hook into.
I can probably run an extension cord for a fan and lamp, unless this isn't even necessary.
The generator can be used for an hour at a time for a Max of 4 hours a day.

As far as renting from cruise america, has anyone used promo codes, I'm seeing %15-%50 off but no place to enter them..

I'm pretty sure you don't need 220.

On their website it says that it'll run on 110 however on the phone they told me that the ac needs to 220...
