To save you time, here's a sum up of this thread. If you're getting married close to NYC (yes, Brooklyn is in NYC) - just go to the Andaz 5th. :)

REMEMBER: You must take your kesubah with you, or give it to someone to hold for you. The kallah has to know where it is.

Rooms are pretty small.. Nyc standard. I was supposedly upgraded to corner suite or something like that. It wasnt too much bigger than their standard room.

I stayed at the Gansevoort NYC and really liked it. They were super nice, and even went through the effort to go out and pick up a Kosher bottle of wine to leave in our room for us as a gift.

It was way before I "got in the game," so I paid cash. No idea if there is a point option for it though. I think I paid ~$300, but I guess it varies depending on time of year and day of the week.

Preferably $200 or less. Otherwise just using SPG points at W Hoboken. Problem is, they couldn't guarantee me an upgrade

How about paying for a Hyatt room, (if any of them are in your price range) and using 6000 Hyatt points to get a suite upgrade?
I've never done it but I've seen ppl discuss it here

Priceline Express deals might be a good option. Friend of mine got a 5-star hotel in the city for $350 a night including tax
