To save you time, here's a sum up of this thread. If you're getting married close to NYC (yes, Brooklyn is in NYC) - just go to the Andaz 5th. :)

REMEMBER: You must take your kesubah with you, or give it to someone to hold for you. The kallah has to know where it is.

Would an email to GM work as well? How do you get GMs email?
I can attest to the fact that emails to the GM do work, many times, better than phone calls

Which hotels did they work on for you? And how did you manage to get the GM's email address?

I would recommend the Sheraton in Edison NJ very cheap with points, and they have only one suite, which is very very nice they dont give it out easily but they gave it to me and enjoyed it!
If there is only one suite, why did they give it to you? Was it on your wedding night?

A lot of suites may only have 1 king bed so...

yup, walk in with wedding gown, ask for newlywed suite...
but insist on 2 beds :)

We've all been there, done that...
A nice suite should have a couch anyway, often a pull-out.

Suggestions for, recommendations of, experiences with great hotels for wedding night, and the best possible way of getting a suite...

thanks all

From experience, stick to a hotel that's closer to a) the hall and/or b) the place where you'll need to end up the next day (especially when getting married Thursday night...)

Good advice... that's why we're looking in NYC or NJ (which is closer to the hall).

Since when did C"H get in the way of anyone on these forums saving a buck or two?

There a fine line between a c"h and a C"H and that crosses it.

Sort of like the difference between a lie and white lie :) ?
