To save you time, here's a sum up of this thread. If you're getting married close to NYC (yes, Brooklyn is in NYC) - just go to the Andaz 5th. :)

REMEMBER: You must take your kesubah with you, or give it to someone to hold for you. The kallah has to know where it is.

I dont understand everyones logic here???

Has noone ever seen someone with kids get married before?

That's not the point. Did anyone that had kids when they got married, take the kids along on the honeymoon? This conversation is getting ridiculous. Dan, time for another cleanup...

You don't understand our logic?
More like nobody understands your logic.

"90 year old Herman Epstein was driving down a Florida freeway when his cell phone rang. Answering, he heard his wife Selma's voice urgently warning him, "Herman, I just heard on the news that there's a car going the wrong way on Highway 401. Please be careful!"

"Selma, you won’t believe it," said Herman, "It's not just one car. It's hundreds of them!""

Someone who brings their kids on a honeymoon is obviously not romantic enough to qualify for a free suit.

My point is....that a "honeymoon" can be defined differently by different pple

Some people never take a honeymoon so the vacation they take can be considered that.

Some people take 10 honeymoons...there is no clear cut definition,

Where did you wind up AJK?

Took your recommendation: Andaz 5th Ave.

Booked regular room; used suite upgrade; then called manager to upgrade us to the splash suite (great room by the way).

A wonderful time was had by all!

Thanks for the help

Mazal tov! I know the wedding's over and I'm sure that wherever you stayed was beautiful. My wife and I spent the night at the NY Iriquois (W44th, 5th and 6th). We were upgraded to a stunning suite w/jacuzzi, complimentary wine etc. when we told them that it was our wedding night! It was a gr8 choice!

Have a friend getting married on Tuesday night.

Andaz 5th is sold out ( a big :( )

Andaz Wall Street only has rooms ~$500+

Hyatt 48 Lex only has room $550+

Grand Hyatt is sold out.

I guess I'm looking for Hyatt recommendations in NJ...

Thoughts?

If you're mentioning it here, I'm assuming you liked it?

What room did you get?

EDIT: Darn, looks like it's also sold out. What the heck is going on in NYC on Tuesday/Wednesday??
