To save you time, here's a sum up of this thread. If you're getting married close to NYC (yes, Brooklyn is in NYC) - just go to the Andaz 5th. :)

REMEMBER: You must take your kesubah with you, or give it to someone to hold for you. The kallah has to know where it is.

Then she won't cook breakfast?
Guess it depends if the hotel room comes with a kitchen, and if someone feels like going shopping :)

My friends had some sent to me in Manhattan. They ordered the wrong kinds of food because a lot of it was soggy.

you always hear stories about the fancy breakfast the new wife cooks her husband the day after the wedding.

We men have a name for such stories. They're called "fairy tales".

I ended up going to W Hoboken got a Fantastic Suite with a crazy view of NYC 2 rooms with a porch 1 1/2 bathrooms (the WOWs were unavailable but I was told if they open up I'd get it) Free bottle of Yarden wine they delivered breakfast from a nearby kosher catering place to which they gave me $30 credit there instead of their in-house restaurant (SPG PLAT) Let's just say, money well spent.
Did you get the upgrade because you are Spg platinum? Or just because it was your wedding?

What would be the nicest option in NYC using Starwood points?

Yes, I do know Andaz is not Starwood  ::) ;) .

Is there any SPG hotel that gives a free kosher breakfast as well?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

TIA!

I went to the st regis, they upgraded me to a suite. All I can say, is holy crap! The room was epic!!  (I didn't get free breakfast though) IMO the room was a lot nicer than the splash suite.

Was the upgrade done by check-in or by speaking to them before?

And how much did the room cost you?

I would recommend the W Hoboken 10 min out of the city as a Platinum member they gave me credit towards the kosher breakfast they delivered to my room and I was told by the GM that if the WOW suites were available she would give it to me (but they were booked months before aleady).

Honestly, I'd forgo the breakfast, and not have to shlep to Jersey.  Cuz quite frankly it's not just the shlep for us, but more for the ones who'd pick us up and drop us off etc.. But thanks anyways!

If you go with a limo, I suggest leaving your car in Brooklyn and just going back with car service (or uber if you have free credit, otherwise they're way overpriced). I went with church car service, it's $35 to bk, was super convenient.
