Remember that MCs are frequent targets for fraud, so use these GCs soon after purchase and save all receipts until you do.

I think the fraud issue is not  bad now, have not had any problems for months and have not read about any recent issues, as for receipts , a definitely good advice.

My experience as well. In the past I have activated cards that had already been drained...seems to have gotten better.
