Restitution - Reclaiming Property Frpm Before WW2
« on: December 22, 2019, 12:23:01 AM »
Are there any official rules about this? If I know the house where my grandparents lived before WW2 is there a way for me to claim it? Same goes for old abandoned shulls in old towns.
You can say what you think when you think what you say.

It depends on the country. See some below

Former Soviet Union countries

(Poland for example refuses to compensate.

I know that my grandfather has been fighting with various govt. for decades over his house in Muncacz. The town changed hands many times and each govt. refused to take responsibility.
