I actually like tge 12 hour deadline for the exact reason people here dont. It rules out the savvy businessmen that are looking to profit off the raffle and leaves it as an opportunity for those that actually want to go but cannot afford $13k...

I agree with your concept but I don't think 24 vs 12 hours will make much of a difference for that guy.

Right now it wouldn't be possible to make the raffle much earlier. Maybe a few more hours.

To put our perspective out there, it cost us a lot of money to run the raffle, and we haven't yet hit 50% of our expenses. By us shortening the time available to hold the raffle, we would be really hurting our chances of raising money to bulid our shul.
With people being so busy with Yom Tov, especially now before Succos, its understandable that people aren't rushing to buy tickets.

We are grateful for the over 100 people who have taken the time to buy tickets, and not waited for the last minute closer to the raffle.

I think that would be fair. If x tickets are sold then the raffle will be 12 hours earlier.

I'm not convinced that the long raffle period actually causes more sales.

The final days calls to action is where both the previous raffles made the majority of their profits.

I agree that most sales will come in after Yom Tov.

After Yom Tov, there are just a few days. For now, at this point, we need to give ourselves the most time.

That being said, we do understand what people are asking for. We will think about it. But at this point we haven't yet covered 50% of our expenses.
