The Crown Heights Yagdil Torah calendar has various levels of shading to help resolve the confusion. All one needs to do is ask their mashpia which shade is kapota day for them.

Seeing a Lubavitcher with a brim up is the same as with an open zipper. You have to surreptitiously whisper "brim up" or the like and you'll see him awkwardly turn aside and quickly slide it down.

I always used to untie my tie and remake it every Shabbos because of that fear of leaving a permanent crease. But then I realized what do I care if my tie is permanently creased in the spot of a perfect knot I never want to undo?? Now all my ties are always tied, and it takes 10 seconds instead of 5 minutes. And I'm still late to Shul every Friday night.

Now if only someone made fashionable zipper ties for adults...
