I have the Ring 2 and it's so utterly useless I would never pay for a subscription.
By the time the app opens 15 seconds later the person is already gone.

Heard the Nest is better so will probably switch to it eventually.

Very true, wonder if it has to do with the Internet or the whole ring system needs some improvements?

Even with perfect internet internet there is lag, it has to do with the way the device works.

I purchased a ring2 but never had a minute to install it, as I have a bell and an intercom throughout my home, not sure if it's worth giving up the intercom for a ring2.
Only option I thought of was to put up the ring2 and buy a wifiExtender/ringChime and have two separate bells.
But needing to buy more devices to set up the ring and buy a cloud subscription and from all the times I would want to open the app, like you said took anywhere from 5-15 seconds to open.

I would assume most have the cloud and even if they can't see the door bell to the second they have a video stored in the cloud.
Still unsure what to do. But I find out the nest or whatever puts this to shame would flip my ring and buy a nest or whatever.

From what I hear the Nest does put the Ring to shame.
The Ring is just another “smart home” gimmick that people get suckered into.

Even Amazon. ;)
They just came out with some more products ,some in the ground lights and spot lights.
Definitely a huge company, every second guy has the ring.
They did amazing with advertising and brought out there product to 1000s of customers, while nest or others didn't make the same noise as ring did when it came out hence the reason ppl are being sucked into a company who's cameras are ok but needs improvement and sucking your money out of your pocket for the cloud.

Is nest so much better than wayze? Like stick the cameras wherever, and when someone rings your bell look at a screen or your app
