National is matching elite staus from Avis and Hertz:

As an Emerald club member you can reserve a midsize car and then choose any car in the Emerald isle while only paying for the midsize.

Not even close.
But with no status, EC is probably the best program with Emerald Aisle which allows you to choose your own car.

i did the executive aisle upgrade through amex plat at miami international. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection including an Infiniti g37, m300 and a gorgeous new dodge challenger (which I couldnt resist taking). Never thought I would enjoy driving a dodge, but thjs a really nice car for 2. Add to it that I got it for the week at a base rate of $108 and I'm pretty satisfied with National! Hertz and avis rates could not compare.

Got in to PHL with the fam
Reserved a mid-size for A MONTH for $600, Went right to the Emerald Aisle and got a brand new FORD FLEX, then I called National and got them to apply a BJ coupon for 25% off to the rental
Thought that was a pretty good deal....

Got the rate on Expedia a while before the trip
Added the BJ coupon after I had the car after every person in the family said there was no way it would work.....

is there a way to waive the underage fee with national bec if not the executive aisle may not be such a good option if u need a long rental (short term might make sense bec pay 25 more for a nice car)

came emerald executive elite, it took 12 hours to get verified. Is there any way to match this now to a diffrent program- hertz or something? I googled it status matcher said hertz will match it iff you called them. I wasted 40 minutes trying. Anyone know of any other programs that wud match?

I don't get how you hit to executive elite please be more clear . I got only executive cuz of my platinum card...

Do the status match ... depends on what you are you I am Avis PC - I did the match and I got my card in the mail this past Shabbos!!

A friend of mine that is just avis first edited his receipt to say Presidental and it worked for his status match to come executive elite

I'm not sure if this is better than Avis PC, Prob I'll compare rates nxt time I rent then decide what to do

i am nothing but national executive . i guess i can get hetrz # 1 or gold status ( not familier ) with my platinum card can i fake some kind of document to show them or they wont even ask ??
