Do you have experience with Norwegian Air?

I am thinking of traveling to Israel from Newark, via Rome. Do you have recent experience with Norwegian Air? I know you have to buy seats, meals, etc, separately. I am more concerned with legroom, quality of kosher meals, general flight experience and what happens if you  miss your connection, since they don't code share.

Any insight would be helpful. Thank you!
