That's definitely exotic and warm, but isn't that a bit far for less than a week?

It's not particularly warm in October, and no it's not far for less than a week.

Or go half way there to the Azores.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Are any of the kosher hotels there nice? An all inclusive kosher resort sounds like something really nice.
We stayed in the summer at the new Kosher hotel in Davos & were very happy with service & pricing. They advertised as a all-year hotel, but said they were gonna close somewhere in the winter for renovations

I haven't been on a trip with just the Mrs. and I in over 3 years, and may have a week we can go somewhere Sunday-Sunday at the end of October.

Open to any suggestion of where to go/stay.

(Some background: We are leaning towards Barcelona/Mallorca/1 other Spanish city. We want to do South Africa at some point.)

Thanks!
Would be way too short for South Africa.

I'd say South America makes more sense than Europe for a Sunday-Sunday as it's pretty much the same flight time from MIA with the added benefit of no jet lag.

You can do Patagonia or Atacama.

BCN is Awesome, plus 2-hour train gets you to wineries! easy non-stop flights from MIA (really burnt I missed the $300 AA flight)
LIS is a dream but unlike BCN, no real kosher. Enjoyed Macabbi and Shakshuk at BCN. you can always skip over to Ibiza or Palma de malorca

However, no visit to spain is complete without going to his holiness, ari shebagola, cohen hagadol m'echav, ha-mekubal etc etc the Admor of Malta Shlita Grand Wzard of the holy order of Light

Catch the end of fall foliage in New England. White mountains in NH are great. Acadia in Maine is fantastic too. Perfect opportunity to do some of the beautiful hikes on an adult-only trip.

And isn't 5 days in TLV too short?

Depends. If you've already done all the touristy stuff, 5 days is nice for a relaxing vacation. If you plan on running around then definitely not enough.
I'm not who you think I am.

I think a week is perfect for a 1-2 city trip in Europe from the East Coast. Usually about 8 hrs flying time, which is a red-eye anyway, so you can leave the US Sunday late afternoon, and land Monday late AM- early PM. Then you fly back Sunday afternoon and land Sunday evening. So a solid 6 days on the ground with minimal jet-lag. Plus Shabbos is usually pretty doable in Europe.

To short you need at least 10 days
