The "OK" is the status, but actual payment history is reported as well.  Most creditors will update with an "OK" whether you use the card or not, but some such as Comenity, do not.
they will update the payment history as well even u don't have any activity on that card?

Comenity will not report anything unless you have some activity on it.

For example...  Jan 2015 $1.00 charge.

You will see as OK for Jan on your CR.

If you don't make another purchase or anything that shows activity, your Comenity account will not change on your CR even if you get a CLI..

You get your CLI in Mar 2015... (This isn't considered activity to Comenity)

The next time you make your purchase in September 2015, you will see your positive history from all the previous months and you new CL will also update on your credit reports.

Do you guys understand? I'm bad at explaining things, but I know what I'm talking about. Ask Mendel :)

i was an au on someones account that was maxed out and my fico score dropped so i closed my au card, that was a year ago but i still see that card on my credit report, however its not showing anymore activity and its not included in my cl, my question is does it still hurt my credit score when it shows on my credit report a card that was maxed out the month i closed it? do i have to call in the cb to dispute it or once i closed it even its on my report its not having a affect on my score?

Is it worth $20 and an EQ HP to join PenFed?

You can join Voices For American Troops for $14.

They use the same EQ HP for 90 days (except mortgages).

The CCs are nothing special, although they do have an uncapped 5% gas CC if you qualify through certain relationships. I would not recommend MS on their cards.

They are known for the quarterly pre approvals for CCs, loans and the PLOC with SP only.

Max CC exposure is $50K and the PLOC $25K.

Don't join for their free NexGen EQ FICO. It's useless.

If any of these things interest you, it's worth it.

In general, what's the point of joining a credit union?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

One last question back on the $2 trick (sorry everyone!): If the card that I'm leaving $2 on is an Amex, and my wife is an AU on that account (thereby causing those $2 to show up on her report), is that enough for her to be successfully doing the $2 trick? Or should she have a card that she is a primary on with a $2 balance?

That should work, but it's always safer to control the reporting with AU cards. She should do that with her own card and you should use 1 that doesn't have any AUs. I can't recall if this varies by scoring models, but know it has been discussed on CB.

If you need installment loans, promotional CD rates, many don't resell loans leading to multiple accounts on your report, etc.

DCU has the free EQ FICO, PSECU the free EX FICO.

Most creditors update with "OK" with no account activity. Some do not, like Comenity. Cappy explained how they operate.

Using a card and paying to $0 before the statement closes is activity and they should update.

You can also push a small payment from your bill pay of $1 or so to create a credit balance and force an update if necessary.

from your previous post I understood its 2 different things.....

I was referring to dollar amounts of payments that get listed on credit reports.

"OK" means the account updated.
