Yep always good to be sure
I added two for the heck of it, although I'm sure there are plenty of members here with data points.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Hmmm.  If you add yourself as an AU on your own AMEX, does your open date report the same as the original card?

Not likely since all AUs report as new.

I have a American Honda late warning on credit report for paying it 38 days late so 8 days past the 30 days.
Anyone have any luck getting it removed? Or in addition can you point me towards someone trust worthy who gets these things removed?
Thanks

You will probably have to ask for a good will removal. It's unlikely that you will be able to dispute an open account with a recent late payment. They will have the records for verification.

Did you receive the bill that month?

Credit Boards may be of more help here.

You have any contact info for Honda financial. Is there anyone on this board who does this kind of stuff (with compensation) of course!

You're better off doing it yourself.

Search CB for contacts. If you don't find one, start a thread there.

I have read here that the only negative outcome of closing a card will be losing the cl and that will result of using a higher percent of utilization, so I just wonder if I do the $2 trick I guess that by closing a card it wont hurt my utilization so it wont have any impact on my credit score, do I have it right?
Do u have any different idea for a signature?

I'll give you a hint. There is no magic letter to mail them.

Recent negatives are hard to dispute because the records are easily accessible in their system, especially on an open account. Good will is your only chance right now IMO and it usually takes a lot of attempts and persistance to hope for a removal.

Another hint. Did you receive your bill?

Even a credit repair company or experienced individual will have problems dealing with this.

If you really want to get the late removed, start a thread in the credit forum on CB.

A closed card with a balance will hurt utilization.

The balance is counted but the credit limit is not.

Common misconception. Dan has mentioned it a bunch of times in his DDMS posts.

ETA: It could hurt you though if it's one of your older accounts because of the average account length factor. But it'll still be on your report for 10 years after you close.
