No, it just means that you have a minor late on your report. Plenty of people get approved for great cards with one 30 day late payment. You can contact creditor and ask them to remove it as a goodwill gesture.
Contact the credit card comapny you mean ?
Does it work ? Does people have luck with doing that?

My chase card and my wife's Discover. Having 15 lates is hard to then even remove one as you can not say it was a 1 time thing. Regardless send a letter that will 1)explain why it happened 2)Why it wont happen again 3) how its effecting you.
Where do i find out where to send a letter ?

Yes. Look and ask on credit boards for exactly who to send three request to and how to reach them.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

So I requested that my AU accounts be removed from my CRs for the first time this week. I did it by calling each CB separately and they took them off, but just got a letter in the mail from Chase addressed to my wife (she's the primary on the accounts) saying that I've been removed from the account and that any auto-bills that I have attached to that card should be changed (implying that my card won't work anymore). Thing is, my card still works. Is this standard?

Even though when I buy something online, I put my name in under name on card and billing address?

Ok, thanks. Is it standard for this to happen? Or did I do something wrong? I was under the impression that the account officially stays open, but just gets removed from my CRs. So for the Amex that I requested be removed, will the card stop working because Amex uses different numbers for AUs?

Correct
I feel like that's incorrect. When everyone posts about requesting that AUs be removed, it doesn't sound like the cards stop working. Seems like the CRs just remove them because you're not financially responsible, but that the card doesn't stop working.

So what has happened to you when you request that AU account is removed from CR? It just disappears but you never hear from the bank?
