Its not allowed to report 7 years later even if they gave to agency 8 years later and agency reports cuz they just got it?

A debt is not allowed on your credit report after 7 years from the DOFD of the original creditor, irregardless of when/how many times the debt is sold. DOFD = Date of First Delinquency. For example, you don't pay your final electric bill in January 2010, that's your DOFD. That debt is not allowed to be on your credit report after 7 years from January 2010. Another example, December 2011 you are 30 days late. January 2012 you are 60 days late. And eventually it is charged off. Your DOFD is December 2011. If the debt was resold, that does not restart the clock.

K thanks! So who do I reach out to? All 3 credit reports (equifax transunion and other one)Or is there a way to knock off all at once? Or should I just try to get collections to remove?

Option 1: Mail/Fax letter to the collection agency stating it's past the 7 years since DOFD allowed by law and to promptly remove. Then wait 30 days and see if they do it.
Option 2: Mail/Fax dispute letters to each bureau stating the same.

Best bet is to get the furnisher of the information to remove because then you only have to deal with one entity.

You need a paper trail. You aren't dealing with Amex, these guys are usually shady.

Snail mail or fax. Ask nicely first.

2 Questions:

1) Does Quizzle still looks at EQ or are they TU now? My account says provided by TU.

2) The score from Quizzle is significantly different that the score on my Discover It statement - if they're both TU why wouldn't they be the same?

TIA

Is the 2nd question a joke?

Maybe I didn't use good search term, but I did search.

Edit: would it be because Quizzle is FAC/KO?

Anybody have a contact # for BofA credit bureau department ?

Basicly an AU is trying to get himself removed from an account, and get a letter that he is not responsable for this account.

Any tips?

why does he need a letter? As long as the card is on his CR as an AU he can get it removed based on that alone.

If it's simply to remove himself as an AU from the CR he doesn't ned the letter, just call.
