Did you transfer your credit line before closing?
Nope. I just called them and cancelled it. Looking back that seems to have been a big mistake :(

I closed my amex cards a couple of years ago, now I got approved for a new amex card. Will amex start reporting on my credit report from now or from the last time I had a amex card which was a couple of years ago?

Paid a US Bank CC down to single digit balance on last day of statement cycle, only to find out that they reported the balance to credit bureau a day earlier.  Any way to have them report the actual statement closing balance?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Is it worth the effort (even if it is possible). Just make sure pay it down a couple days earlier next cycle.
Obviously if the credit score is needed immediately that can somewhat change the calculus.

Would it be good for my credit to open a small personal loan from lending circle (or similar) for $1k and pay it off right away?
How about 5 such loans?
Is this a good credit building strategy?

Is this only because all the cards were closed, or does it work like this even if only 1 is closed while 1 stayed open?

I checked my credit score using the FICO tool on Amex and it shows my score went down 20 points this month because of a late payment. However, I checked all my open accounts and have no late payments. Anything I can do to get this fixed? I pay all bills in full and on time.

You can dispute it with the credit bureaus. Make 100% sure it isn't accurate. It should tell you somewhere, which account it was.

I checked the credit score on barclays and it shows my score went up. Where on Amex can you see the account in question?

I'm not speaking specifically of Amex. Credit karma should be good for checking that info, although their scoring system is different. The score is dependent on which scoring system they use, but if the state for fact, that you made a late payment, that should be the same everywhere.

Is WM BP considered "bill payment history"?

It should be removed from your credit report along with the high balance open, but it may take time for it to reflect on your report. If you would like to guarantee removal, once you call amex to remove yourself as an authorized user, open a dispute with all 3 credit bureaus and let them know you are no longer an AU. I believe Equifax and Experian update report pretty quickly (within a week) & Transunion takes a bit longer than that.... Good Luck.

Is this a valid reason for them to remove the account from your CR?

AUs don't legally need to he reported, unless that of the account holders spouse.

So if I am no longer an AU on an account the CRA will just remove the account from my CR if I ask. I have found that not to be the case.
