Chase (powered by Experian) will generally tell you the overall reason(s) why your credit score went down.
Those are generic reasons and don't get into the nitty gritty like credit buckets.
It took CB a long time to nail down the $2 trick because of so many variables.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Does owing money for toll violations have any impact on credit history/score?
How about if the ez-pass is under a one persons name and the car is another’s, but linked to the license plate?

Even though…

There was a lawsuit a few years back and CRA agreed not to report any debt that was not from an agreement to pay. Something along those lines. CreditBoards would be the place that would know for sure.

This might sound like a real n00b question but here goes-do other ppls credit cards activity in the same billing address affect MY credit score? I’ll be blown away by this if it’s true.
I’m looking at score which is usually cruising at ~720s and suddenly I’m at 640 I was shocked.
The credit score refers to this USBank card, that citi double cash card etc etc - cards I’m not even a secondary user on! What is going on?

Where did you check your score?

There shouldn't be any reason your credit score should go down due to those with the same ailing address.

There can be many different factors as to why your credit score went down. If you're an authorized user on a card, and the card holder has a late payment, or a spike in the credit usage, it will affect your score as well. What do you mean by:
The credit score refers to this USBank card, that citi double cash card etc etc - cards I’m not even a secondary user on!
I'm not sure I understand this sentence. What's the reason it's telling you it went down?

Ok sorry guys I can now clarify here: one of those 2 cards I know I am a secondary user on but I didn’t think that made a difference, but the other card which I truly thought I was not a secondary user on, I was. Although I don’t have that card and am so confused when I became a secondary user bc I don’t recall that at all and have no card for it. And I stressed the part of “I’m not even a secondary user” referencing the card I thought I wasn’t secondary.

And now that I think about it I do understand that parents will open a card and add their kids ‘to build their credit’ so obv it goes both ways  :-[
Called experian and they’re gonna have me removed from those cards (technically I can call both banks but this way also works)

Be advised, this method may only work temporarily. The accounts may show up on your report again in the future.

(Experian is not "removing you from those cards". They are removing those accounts from your report.)

I'd imagine you can call the bank, and they'll take you off.

But surely, the card holder would be able to do so.

interesting bc I was going back and forth with the guy bc he said it’ll take 30 days to send in the dispute. I said should I just call the banks themselves and just remove the authorized users and he said that is another way to do it, not sure why he wasn’t being so clear which way is better. I was assuming if experian requests to remove those cards from the report, the bank will respond by saying we can’t have those cards open then and close them for me, but sounds like it might not be automatic..
Thanks!

Note sure if this is the right thread for this, but I'm looking to apply for multiple cards to get as many SUBs as I can. I am not going to be going for a mortgage or student loans any time soon, so (as far as I am aware) the only nafka mina for my credit score in the short term is for credit card approvals. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can maximize the number of cards that I am approved for? I can put my rent on credit cards for only the next 6ish months and after that I'm going to use zelle, so I want to use the high spend of rent to rack up SUBs
