Which scoring model? Remember that mortgage lenders don't use FICO 08 scores.
How can you see the ones they use?

It's the score I get from Amex. Should be Experian but I don't know more. Does anyone know?

It says right underneath your score that it is a FICO Score 8 using Experian data.

The score that you get from Amex is not the one that we use for your mortgage rates. I don't know if there is a place that you can see that score before applying for a mortgage and having the bank pull your report.

To answer your original question, 746 is good but not the best. Anything over a 760 would be considered the best score.

That's the idea. No need to conjecture when the experts with the answers are right here.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Tough to answer that one, I don't see other scores other than what we are pulling, so I can't really compare.

I would guess that varies depending on a person's circumstance, no general rule that one score would always be higher or lower.

To get all three FICO 04,  you'll probably have to buy the package from MyFico. They can actually vary quite a bit from your 08's.  The 04 model is what the $2 trick was developed from.

If you've ever had negative stuff like collections and stuff on your reports, you should do a fake mortgage app 6 months prior to your mortgage.  The CRA's offer collection services that companies subscribe to.  When you have mortgage INQ's appear, these send alerts to their subscribers and they try to nail you while your in the middle of your mortgage process.

so the 04 score is the one used for mortgages? And does the $2 trick work just for the 04 or also for 08 score?

Yes, 04 is generally the one used for mortgages.  The $2 trick works for both models, but was researched the most on 04.

What's a fake mortgage?
