YMMV

You have nothing to lose though since it will be 2 soft pulls.
Thank you!

I think I'll wait a bit until there is some history on my newest account though.

IIRC You only get one chance to do the soft pull trick, is like it to work the first time.

That's correct.  If you apply for a CC after the day you join, you'll get a HP on EX.

If you are interested in getting a credit card from them, the max limit is $30K.  When you join, if you apply for a CC on the same day it can be approved with only a soft pull.
You have nothing to lose though since it will be 2 soft pulls.

I see reports (DoC) that it may be a hard pull.  If so you may loss.

-1

Only people that don't know what they are doing get a HP.

CB credit info is more reliable that DoC.

The only difference that I'm aware of is how it is coded on your credit report.

MF only gives you the full 3B with the additional scoring models once per year or when you purchase it independently of the monitoring service.

Just buy a 3B and see where you are for the mortgage scores.  You can check the pinned threads on CB to see if anyone has posted discount codes.
I assume the product you are referring to is the below, and cancel before the second month bills?

[http://www]Ultimate 3B

Monitor your credit & identity.
Plus, get quarterly access to a new 3-bureau credit report & 28 FICOŽ Scores. Learn More

I didn't click on the link, but the only MF product that is of any value is purchasing an individual 3B report that gives you all of the other scoring models.

CCT is $1 for the trial, which you can get more than once for your FICO 08s.

How often can one safely churn that trial?

IIRC people on CB have gotten it once a month.  You'll have to check there.

First the link is not working (on my phone)
Second, I looks to me, that the subscription at $29 will in included a 3B and 28 score report and can be canceled before billing.

Yes, if you haven't already done it (I assumed that most of you have), you can get the trial 1 time.

I'm sure this is discussed somewhere in this thread but a quick search didn't pull up a direct answer.
When calculating oldest existing account for credit history is each bank important or just entire credit history? Practically, if a card from Amex is your oldest card with them but you have older cards with another bank, is there any compelling credit score (or future applications?) reason to keep the card open?

Most important is keeping your oldest card open.

Secondary is keeping a handful of old cards open long term.

For internal scoring, it may be beneficial to keep your oldest card open with a specific card issuer.  I know Chase weighs this when making decisions.

Thanks.
I'm trying to decide if it's worth paying the annual fee... So far only reason in favor is length of card...

You can always try to do a product change to a no AF card.
