is there any reason not to open a few new cc's the day after a house closing (mortgage, credit line, or cc company perspective)? (been holding off on CSR  ;))

No, if anything its a good excuse if you have to talk to a CC underwriter that you have to buy furniture or carpet or something like that.

People should do themselves a favor and read the thread on creditboards.com Alliant Share Secured Cliffsnotes  or go to the MyFico thread.  DOC leaves out some very key points

I've seen this discussed here but I just wanna confirm. If I add somebody as an au on a Citi BofA chase & synchrony bank cc which are all open for a bunch of years they will show on her report as being open since the original opening thereby boosting the persons score?

Keep in mind, unless it's another business card, there will be a second pull regardless.

If my score has been pulled down by an account that I'm only an AU, what can I do? Cancel the AU? Complain to credit bureau?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

the credit bureau should remove the card if you tell them to

Don't know if this link is suppose to direct me to the page of installments? But it goes to the main page with all the options where to go, not really helpful when wanting that specific page.
