need help asap
just messed up and forgot to pay car lease which was due jan 2 and was able to be paid up till Feb 2nd- so im 3 days over the deadline and now it lowered my credit from 800 to 710!!!!
this is my first late payment.
my father in law is also on the lease.
and im between contract of buying house and settling rate (so that means that whatever rate i get i MUST pay)

i tried calling nissan to let this one go but they said they dont do this anymore and what i need to do is contact directly any of the 3 credit agencies and ask them to file report. then they send it to nissan and theyll decide based on excuse, amount and time if to waive it off or not
but i dont have time to risk bc of the rate

please any advice how to get rid of it asap and get my credit back up?

I just had similar situation with my old Nissan Altima that I extended the lease and Autopay didn't continue. I realized it was listed on my Credit Report as "Potentially Negative". I've heard some say Late Lease Payments shouldnt affect your score but not sure. Anyways, I disputed it recently with Experian and they came back saying that the Lender said It is in fact a late payment (which obv I knew) and they can't remove it. :(

did you try pleading with them and telling them it was a mistake and it was taken care of?

The CRA does not care. If the company says it is valid that is all they go by.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Hi could use some advice here, my first card I opened up(oldest credit line) was a capital one semi secured card(If put down 50$ they give me 200$ credit line, I put 500 so they gave me 650) this was around a year and half ago and since then I opened a freedom unlimited card around 6 months ago. I wanna move on from my capital one card but I wanna keep the credit line, I've heard upgrading the card keeps the credit line but there still gonna be a hard pull(3 of them Bec its capital one) is it worth upgrading to something like the venture one and will it keep my credit line?

650 credit line it's not much. I will not be afraid to "lose" this line, as with another not secure card if you're approved you will get at least 1000 if not higher.

the big trick for a beginner is IMHO to focus on the line utilization. (always use less than 10-15% of your credit line, and then after a few months it should get/ask for a higher line.)

I don’t think you can upgrade Capital One secure card to any other card. Only option to close it.

This has never happened to me before, but I missed a payment on a Citi card by 30 days. It was a small payment that did not show up in my Mint app which I use to track all my credit cards.

What is the best way to deal with this to get it removed from my report?

I'm looking on my credit report from Transunion from AnnualCreditReport.com and the ratings are mostly current but there are a few months that are not reported or unknown. Should I call the lender to fix?

Thanks friends!

Lenders are not required to report.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Ok. I was asking because Dan wrote in a post
"If you see an account that’s not marked current, be sure to call the lender to ask them to fix it."

Your best bet is to ask at creditboards.com as they are the go to forum for that type of stuff.

I got a 30 day late payment report on my credit report. I got the bank to take it off.  (I had car lease on auto pay and when I extended the lease, autopay wasn’t activated properly ) How long should it take for the credit bureaus to take it off ?
