There are many valid points here that
@ChaimMoskowitz would see because he's a very intelligent person but he's letting passion and emotion overwhelming him.
First off,gun owners see the call of gun control after a mass shooting as manipulating a tragedy. Calls for arming teachers etc are considered insane by you but logical to me.
Gun control in terms of preventing people with mental health issues is a very complex case. For one, many soldiers are diagnosed with PTSD etc and true there are legit health concerns but where you precieve protecting the public, I see a violation of constitutional rights and disarming law abiding citizens is a danger.. from anarchy, a government of tyranny etc.. you can laugh all you want but that's what makes this republic great .
Now, the same logic could be for cars, who knows maybe we should racially profile Muslims from getting a license and car they may use it in terror attacks.
Maybe the limo crash was a terror attack ?
Maybe we should revoke the license of anyone on prescription medication, anyone with mental health issues may suffer from impulsive road rage, anyone who drinks or smokes weed.
After all, as per the state of Florida, the operating of a motor vehicle is a right, not a privilege. So you want to triffle with a constitutional right but damn, you should have your license revoked if you can't show why you need a car and can't take public transportation.
