Any one on DDF done this? Details? Final room cost?
I was automatically upgraded to a suite at The Cove. Came out to about $75/night all in.

https://milestomemories.boardingarea.com/atlantis-bahamas/  If you were thinking about going
My experience this week was the exact opposite of this post. My wife's room must have been in one of the rooms that was flooded because the second we walked in there was a potent rotting carpet smell. I immediately contacted the front desk and they moved us to a different room in the same Royal West Tower. Unfortunately, that room smelled too, though not as bad as the original one so I went back to the front desk and they agreed to upgrade her to The Cove for the rest of our stay and waived the per-person room charges for the kids and the daily refrigerator rental fee they normally charge at The Cove (though they wouldn't waive the resort fee). The staff at the Royal check-in desk were fantastic (especially Lauren) and were sympathetic and helpful. Every single staff member we meet was friendly and nice and asked if we were enjoying our stay or if there was anything they could do to improve our experience.

The property and the water park were great - we didn't even mind the worn looking rocks and other features. You have to look hard to notice them. After all, it's supposed to look like ruins from the lost city of Atlantis so it fit the motif. The grounds were impeccably kept and we saw the gardening crew trimming bushes and cleaning seaweed from the beach every morning before the park opened.

I think the blogger's experience was an anomaly - the result of a major event that the staff was not equipped or trained to handle.

Bottom line is if you did the Caeser's match and have an opportunity to do Atlantis you won't regret it.

Best line IMHO and true to many

I don't understand, why were you twice given a room that smells? Were they trying to get away with it.

I'm not sure what's so amazing about being given a smelly room twice. Who cares about a smile in a face when the staff know there are smelly rooms being given to guests.

Not sure I'd call that the opposite...

At any rate, how was the kosher popup?

I don't understand, why were you twice given a room that smells? Were they trying to get away with it.

The first time, probably yes. They admitted they knew some rooms had a problem but they claimed their cleaning staff "deodorized" them and they shouldn't smell anymore. The 2nd room they gave me was on the 1st floor (which shouldn't have been affected by the flood) and didn't have the same rotting carpet smell. Instead it just smelled like they sprayed large amounts of Febreze to cover up something else (my guess was someone who was smoking in a non smoking room).

Who cares about a smile in a face when the staff know there are smelly rooms being given to guests.

My point was they fessed up to the issues, took responsibility for it and made it right in the end.

Possibly your experience was not as BAD but maybe realize it wasn't that GOOD.

how was the kosher popup?

Pretty good. It was busy around mealtimes (I estimate there were around 50-60 frum families at Atlantis this week based on the number of people at both the Ashkenaz and Sefard minyanim each day) but not unbearable. The food was not cheap - especially with mandatory 12% VAT and 15% gratuity tacked on to everything (I think someone linked to a pic of the menu in the Bahamas thread). IMO, some things were incorrectly priced; for example, a hotdog, hamburger and pulled brisket sandwich were all $18 even though the brisket was a much higher quality and filling meal. Even baseball stadiums don't charge that much for a simple hotdog (yet). But it was tasty and the portions were good. The only real complaint was the meat was all prepared in a temporary barbeque area that was not very well organized. Instead of having one person dedicated to take orders and the other 3 do food preparation, all 4 people did all jobs which meant nothing was efficient and people were given meals in random order instead of line order. The dairy food counter was much more professional.

We also had dinner one night from the temporary Kosher restaurant located at Seagrapes in the Beach Tower. Meals had to be reserved a few days in advance. The food there was excellent but even more expensive than the popup. We didn't stay for Shabbat but that's where the Shabbat meals were from.

i saw your DDMS post regarding atlantis Bahamas.  you should go back and stay at the Cove. its a world apart in every way. i stayed at both. twice in cove and once in royal towers. the pools, rooms, service, beaches are all outstanding in the nicer two hotels.

You really called?
Ok, with your amex plat you can become Marriott/HHilton Gold. Match it to Wyndham (Diamond) and then to Caesars.
TY I ended up getting it. Unfortunately i can't get a diamond TR card for another reason.  Is there anyway to get free rooms in LAS with just wyndham diamond?

The pools aren't heated. That's a deal killer for me in January.

Any alternative way to get Caesars Diamond status now?

Match from other casino top tier status.

Match from other casino top tier status.
Can any of those be obtained by matching from another Loyalty Program?
https://www.caesars.com/myrewards/promotions/diamond-tier-upgrade
(I don't have Hyatt Explorist to match to MGM - Mlife).
