Munich Master Thread
« on: August 21, 2011, 06:51:39 AM »
I'm going to be flying out of MUC next week. Does anyone have any information on kosher food/restaurants in Munich? I will be driving, so I could really get anywhere.

Whatever you do please avoid the kosher food in the LH FCL in MUC.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I forgot the name of the place, but its by the synagogue. There is another supposedly kind of a pizzeria still advertised online, but doesn't exist anymore.

You should go and visit the Dacha concentration camp which is not so much out of the way between the airport and Munich city.

Thanks. You must be referring to Einstein, but they only open for dinner at 6, which is a little too late for me. I also saw the pizzeria online (Cafe Bracha?), can you confirm that it's not around anymore?

Einstein is the name of the still existing restaurant, next to the synagogue.
I believe I ate there before 6pm.

Cafe bracha (thanks for reminding), doesn't exist any longer.

You can hire one directly from the camp, or rent an audio guide.  I personally didn't feel that a guide or the audio was necessary. Its a small camp and very good signage explaining what everything was.
