Modern Refrigerators and "Shabbos Mode"

Logic is very simple
The dispenser is in the fridge and they assume that if the door is closed you don't want water running in the fridge when a tomato is pressing against it

The same goes for icemakers in the freezer. They shut off when the door is opened so they shouldn't dump ice all over the place.

I bought a FRSS2623AS. It does not have shabbos mode. I tried magnets, but after moving them around the entire frame, nothing turned off the lights. It's possible the magnets I'm using aren't strong enough, though they were the strongest I was able to procure in the limited time I had before shabbos.

The options mentioned upthread don't seem to be available anymore. Zman technologies is only for ge and Shabbat Pro seems to be defunct.

Is there another option? Does anyone know about this device particularly and where exactly the magnets would need to be placed?

You stick it on near the little button that depresses when you close the door.  For Shabbos, you slide out a piece that holds down the button even when you open the fridge door.

That only solves the light problem, not the door open and temperature indicator lights that are on the freezer door

Are you sure?  It doesn't let the fridge know the door is open. See what happens when you hold down the button.

Wow!  Years ago I called Frigidaire to ask what Shabbos mode on my fridge affected.  It was basically the lights. Technology marches on.

In Israel, this fridge has an unofficial shabat mode - add 2 strong magnets on top of the fridge to shut off lights RF060BEAESP

Google the model, plenty of fridges in airbnbs have a shabbos mode.
