Really? Except for the fact that they both earn 150,000 Hilton Points, pretty much everything.

Off my head, the fees , also Aspire has airline credit, gives you Diamond status, the Ascend you need to spend $40k per year for Diamond status, Ascent earns x 6 for e.g at supermarkets while Aspire earns x 3 .

But the Ascend has a much better earning power for MS if needed. That is why I kept it , and with $40k I have been keeping Diamond status.

Room rates too, acc to TPG. But there's a FT thread about it and IIRC some ppl had trouble using it for room rates on certain properties. Will try to find that thread.
