I got an email from amex for ascend 150K/3K offer even though i already have ascend card. I clicked on apply and logged in and got the message that I am pre-approved.
Will i get bonus if I apply? Should I first cancel the existing card?

Unless something changed very recently you can have both products at the same time. Amex is fine with 2 of the same card.
