Just verified the 1k link as dead and googled and found a 3k link. The $1 days are about gone (except barclays us air, and perhaps few others), and it seems the $1k spend are leaving as well

Hey everyone. I knon this is about the MB Plat, but I got a question about the Buisness Plat: I recently got an offer for the Bus. Plat with a sign up bonus of 50,000 points for spending 5k in 3 mo. I figure if I do a 3bm with AMEX that this is a good deal for a bus. card (I recently got the bus. gold card with a sign up bonus of 75,000 points for spending 10k in 4 months. AMEX confirmed that I will be eligible for both promotions).

Any imput? I would appreciate it.

Are you a first timer for Amex. How did they confirm via SM or by phone ? Either way have a detailed
Record names dates printouts etc Amex has been saying one thing and doing another lately

It was over the phone. They checked the number that VCR on the applivation and it brought up the offer seemi.gly knowing of my having the other card already... But I hear you... I know what your taking about

Applied for the MB Plat (while I had the reg Plat), got approved, spend, got the 50k bonus.

Called in to cancel my reg Plat, didn't even ask for a refund on the AF (have it already for 6 months), but today I got a refund for $262.50. Not bad at all

I got the MB card. Does it make a difference if I make a separate Amex login for this card or add it to the one with my current regular platinum card?

CMIIAW, but I believe AMEX SOP is that cancel within 60 days you get full refund. Cancel later in the year you get pro rated refund. IN theory you shouldn't have to call/sm for the refund.

wasnt referring to AF, was referring to having an open plat and getting mb with 50k bonus
