Again and again and again, told by Amex, you can get the MB Plat while you have a Reg Plat, its a differnet family

thats definitely true and all (as seen from many people who did likewise), but the same way the 12 month rule was instituted and not fully enforced until later, the new clause of being a current platinum cardholder can be enforced at any time.

"This offer is not valid for existing Platinum Card members from American Express. You are eligible to receive points for only one Card account. Additional Card members are not eligible."

Is this the new T&C? When I applied it was "offer not avail whoever had 'this' card in..."

Yes, recently added. That is why I cancelled my plat recently and giving it a bit of a break before doubling down with the mb plat.

I was told in SM that I would be eligible for Plat biz card beginning of Sept , while having MB card. Will they honor that SM now that rules have changed

MB is personal. Shouldn't be a problem either way.

I met the 3k spend and the statement closed. In my account its showing 0 points. Do you think there is a issue or it just takes time for the points to show? Thanks

nope. The strange thing is on my wife's card it posted as soon as I hit the spend threshold even before the statement closed.

That means she had active MR points. Bonus points post right away to an account that already has points available in it. Otherwise it will pend until you call or SM. It will also become available if regular spend points become available which will cause the bonus points to get dragged along and also become available.

+1, same by me. In new took awhile, but afterwards it came right after I did the spent requirements
