Remember when we freaked out about the new "existing cardmember" language?

That is what I'm wondering too. Similar to when they first implemented the 12 month T&C rules, if you had a regular plat card before it was implemented, the 12 month timer didn't apply to you and you could still apply for another plat and get the bonus, and then after that the timer would start.

Amex MB credit card = Plat charge card. (Albeit you can get both bonuses in less than a year apart)

Sorry I should have been clearer. I meant the MB credit card with the blue design and $95 annual fee not the Plat charge card version. Does anyone know if the MR from this card is sellable? If yes, it might be a very good deal for gas MS.

Weird...just checked MB account which I believe was the 50K MR after $3K spend (is there any other MB offer?) and saw that the account already received the 50K MR points but currently sits at the following:

Pay In Full Charges 3,801.89
Pay Over Time Charges 0.00
Credits -685.00
Total 3,116.89

If I take out the $475 annual fee, that's only $2641.89 spent.

Even if you exclude the $200 airline credit and $100 Global entry credit, that's $2941.89.

Hmmm, perhaps the $385 from CHFF-M is still counted even though it was CHFF-M?  My bet is on this.

Anyone know if I closed the personal plat at the end of 2011, and I closed to MB plat in late October 2012, if I can apply for the plat MB now? or do I have to wait until November?

I know, and I read the T&C, but there have been some reports that AmEx has reclassified the MB. Just wasn't sure of the complete ramifications of that reclassification.

The reclassification was that its a personal card now , not a third category. The current T&C are accurate .

e.g. your green card wasnt a factor until the reclassification.

Hey everyone, sorry if this has been answered already. How long do I have between adding an AU and cancelling their account before getting charged for it?

The charge may appear from 1 to 30 days after adding, but you can always cancel and get a full refund up to 60 days.

I applied for an MB Plat today. App didn't show up online right away nor did it give me a reference number. I called him and they told me they didn't see it in the system so I went ahead and applied another 2 times for the same card. After 30 mins, I got emails confirming all 3 of my apps.

I called in to get the apps processed and one was immediately approved. A few min after I got the approval email I got another approval email. I checked the online status and 2/3 MB Plat apps were approved.

Glitch?
Think I'll get both bonuses? Peyos crossed
