Just cancelled my MB Plat, and boy did they harass me!

"Why are you cancelling so soon?
Why did you have this card twice and close them both times after a short while?
Are you just out for the points?"

I wonder if I'm blacklisted for the future.

I too have done a lot of reading of the Plat threads and here's my conclusion: Yes, you can get the Plat personal (or MB, not both) and Plat Business bonuses within 12 months of each other, but you will not be able to apply for another Plat Business (or BGR card) until it's been closed for 12 months. You can get a bonus on a personal card (Plat, MB Plat, or PRG) after 90 days if it's in the same product family (Plat / MB Plat -> PRG or vice versa) or 12 months if it's the same product (Plat and MB Plat are the same product). If you want to churn the Amex cards and keep one card open to preserve your MR balance, as opposed to keeping one Plat open forever, you can alternate between the Business Plat/BGR and the Plat/MB Plat/PRG cards every 12-14 months (giving time for overlap, cancellation).

2 - But I can apply for Personal Gold in 90 days?
3 - In a year, can I do a 2bm for both Personal Plat and MB Plat or would I need to choose one or the other?

Don't that contradict the first part of your post?

Yes, you can apply for either the Plat or MB Plat today (and could have for the past 3 months). I think everyone is correct in the posts that followed mine, other than Emkay-- as jaywhy mentioned, I suspect Emkay got his cards more than a few weeks ago, when the T&C's changed.

Yes I think t&cs has been changed sometime middle in the year. Back in Jan when 100k Personal Plat out, some of my friends applied and received the bonus while still holding the MB card.

I applied for mb platinum and prg planning to store the MR on gold so I can cancel platinum before the AF hit. I was approved for the platinum and declined for the PRG. What are my options to not lose the points if I cancel the platinum?  P.S. I have a BRG with a different MR#.

I canceled a consumer gold card in March of 2013 and just canceled a business platinum card.  Will I have any issues getting the 50k bonus points from this MB now?  The offer terms specify that it is not available to "applicants who have had a Platinum Card within the last 12 months or any Consumer ZYNC®, Green or Gold Card account within the last 90 days."  Does this include business platinum cards in the past 12 months?

What about the offer terms that say not available to "applicants who have had a Platinum Card within the last 12 months" which then follows with not available if you had a "any Consumer ZYNC®, Green or Gold Card account within the last 90 days."  What concerns me is that it does not define Platinum cards as consumer or business.  On the other hand, it defines all other cards as only consumer.  Would this then mean that if you had any platinum card in the past 12 months you can't get this?

It's a good point, but that language has been enforced to mean personal vs. business.
