I always got the points immediately after spending, but not this month,

Let me clarify, Saying a first timer got his points quickly is neither good nor bad news, it really does not tell us how a second app would be rewarded .

Saying a second time applicant got his immediately would be good news , and if Amex is going to start
Scrutinizing second apps., it might be time to diversify my MR before I reapply .

Applied for the MB in May, cancelled it in June, applied again in September. I met the spend and didn't see any pending points, so I SM'ed and was assured that I will receive the 50K in 6-8 weeks. So fingers crossed.

Only issue was that they hit me with the AF 3 days after receiving the card, leaving me with very little leeway in which to request a refund.

In roughly the same boat and got the same response, though my 8 weeks from spend is coming next week... so lets see if they really issue the points (or they suddenly remember something about a "12 month rule"!)
