Maximum Cards allowed on Amex

So apparently there is such a thing - I triple appd plat, spg, and spg biz - first two were approved and spg biz rejected "bc max cards based on customer's credit profile has been reached"  says applications csr.

Anyone ever have this situation before? What is the best way to go abt pushing it through (and yes im willing to close other amex cards i have, just wondering if anyone dealt with this before)

Yes. I had this. Csr told me to close a biz to get a biz approved, and it worked

on the spot? csr told me takes 24-48 hours for the cancellation to clear the system and I should call back new apps on Wed...

not on the spot. call number on card to cancel. once cancellation clears call back to reevaluate app.
