IMHO Highlander 100%

Aside from anything else, if you end up going over warranty, you'd rather have reliability. It would be really annoying to have to pay for repairs on a lease.

Depends on what you like more, the XC-9 is a pretty solid car, for a lease I'll choose which one you prefer, but for a purchase I'll go with Highlander, holds value better.

The big question is the trim levels you are comparing.

The Highlander tech is dated- No SmartPlay, No Remote Start.
The Cx-9 Has Both and Heads up display but is not available in a V6

The Toyota lease is transferable.

18 doesn't have android auto, 19 does

I really think it is a matter of personal preference , I myself never drove a Highlander, but had an CX-9 for a week and I can say it is a good car .

Dock the boat, get out, and get into a better boat- namely one that is more economical- such as buying.
