When does your new Chase card show up in your Chase.com account?

When you get approved for a new Chase card, does it usually show up right away in your Chase.com online account? Or does it not show up until after you receive the card and activate it?

It shows up pretty quickly, usually before you actually get the card.

I apped for a Chase card, had to call recon, she said she was submitting it for approval. Couple days later I called again and she told me it had been declined even though the recon rep said I should be approved. She said that was bullshit and that she was approving me on the spot and I would receive my card within a week.

That was on Aug 18th and the new card still hasn't shown up in my Chase.com account.......

Any ideas?

It can take a couple of days from approval until the account is actually created.

One more thing, when I first called recon, she reduced the credit limit on one of my older cards to fund the new card. This happened instantly, but then they still denied me?

Have you heard of that ever happening to anyone? I would think if the analyst says "You are getting approved" and reduces the CL on one of your cards, you think you would be in the all clear lol

Someone else here had the same story. They reduced one credit line but still declined the new card
