Your original post was definitely spot-on. Does anybody disagree with it?

We all love this discussion but in a different thread.

Anyone went recently to see the sales? Is there a way to check online what their sales are weekly?

I just went there again. A few points.
- I don’t understand their long term plan with no baggers. It will really make me think twice about coming back. And as a side I end up using way more bags then the bagger would.
- When they have a sale item you have to buy the amount of items per sale. I.e. 4 lemons for $2. It doesn’t specify ‘Must buy 2’ but you need to.
- Nuts section is great and cheap but those open candy section just looks way too enticing for a kid not to eat one and put it back when his mother starts screaming at them.

It’s very simple. There are 16 checkout lanes? That’s potentially 16-32 more full time salaries that would get broken down into the price of your groceries.

Same reason why almost everything in Costco is on the pallets they were delivered on (saving employees manual labor of unpacking everything onto shelves, oh and they don’t have baggers). All extra salaries that you, the consumer ends up paying for.

Agreed the topic doesn't belong here. However, one thing is for sure. At least the ddf readers  following Bingo were alerted to this issue!

it would go alot faster with 8 checkouts and 8 baggers then 16 checkouts no baggers. and the double conveyer with 2 people grabbing their stuff at the same time is just annoying. its not israel here

No way is that even remotely true. Baggers don't save much time, they're a nice service that people enjoy.

IDK if it's just me or not, but I think this demand that every store must have baggers or I won't walk back in there is a bit extreme IMO. I grew up in lakewood, until recently most stores did not have baggers.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Don't worry. People said the same thing about Bingo in BP. There's no baggers and the store is always full.

Why can’t the cashier bag it, like most of the big chain stores ? Walmart Target and almost any store in the country..

Some small price creep showing up on a few items but nothing really significant yet.

Is that not considered predatory pricing?
I'm not who you think I am.

Why? It’s what just about every store does when they first open up. Start off with insane prices that are unsustainable and slowly raise prices to profitable levels.

Walmart ShopRite stopunshop target all don't have "baggers". The common courtesy in this country is that the cashier assists the customer in their bagging tasks after they have finished checking out.

This is also efficient because it clears the area for the next shopper.

Why do we have such drastically different expectations?

The problem with bingo isn't  so much about the baggers, its about the bags.

They are so difficult to separate and open.
