I love how everyone is an expert in Bingos financials here..... Nobody knows the deals they have or don't have with manufactures.... It may be short dated etc.... That being said I have actually sold them items in the past, and I have seen items they paid $8 for being sold for $3.99 as a special!

Calm down.. it's taking advantage of a a promotion - they chose to advertise this way this is it's downside If I send in my 20 workers to buy up the stock is that cheating? If I go home and come back is that cheating? What's your rule? Bingo chose this route for advertising this is their cost.It got a ton of people to their store it also attracted a bunch of People "taking advantage" - cost of advertising in my opinion...

They are losing money on coffee. FACT. while I don't agree that stores should stock up fr bingo, it's no different then alot of food establishments buying cans from Costco. U think Costco is crying?

Agreed  noone knows if they actually lost $ on coffee  everyone is just assuming  but with bingo you never know its possible they were somehow earning

What better advertisement is there than publicizing how other stores use Bingo's sales to stock up? Sort of tlike that "price mistake" that @Dan always mentions. They also publicized something pesach time about a supposed deadline for chesed orgs to place large orders from them.

it reminds me of the Romi Levi chain grocery in Israel, they don't do advertisement but they get free media coverage, for example one erev shabbos they called out in the stores that everyone standing by the registers could walk out without paying!! so he got massive media coverage for much cheaper then it would of cost him to pay for commercials. and then he has crazy specials every week on one item like one Friday he had chalos for 1 shekel each, one erev yom tov he had chicken for 1 shekel each pound

10K? That number is not significant  when it comes to the initial marketing of a grocery store.
